On Thursday, the Kuwait government has launched an internet site for citizens abroad. The website will be used by citizens wishing to return back to Kuwait. The website will register citizens information to facilitate citizens repatriation. Hence, it will make the job of health authorities in Kuwait easy in receiving them.

Since the website will allow citizens abroad to register them for coming back. Therefore citizens have to provide their information on the website. As a result, the Govt will facilitate them in repatriation. This platform will allow government departments to take appropriate decisions regarding the repatriation.

What are Centers for Disease Control Guidelines?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advises employers to permit essential workers to continue work following potential exposure to COVID-19. But they should continue to be asymptomatic. Employers should implement extra precautions to guard them and therefore the community.

Kuwait started producing artificial plasma for Coronavirus cure. Director of KCBB transfusion Division Dr. Reem Al-Radhwan announced this on Wednesday. The aim of this process is to assist the treatment of patients affected by Coronavirus. The process entails collecting plasma from donors who were formerly COVID-19 patients. Then transfusing it into the blood of patients to strengthen their system, she said during a statement to KUNA. As per standards of the WHO and American Association of Blood Banks; ” the plasma donation from former patients should start soon after the top of their home quarantine”.

What is Artificial Plasma?

When any patient recovered from any disease he has strong antibodies generated by the immunity system floating in their plasma. The plasma is a liquid component of blood. To convert that into a medicine, the scientists harvest the plasma and then test it for safety and after that purify it to isolate finally achieved protective antibodies. When injected into a patient, the “plasma-derived therapy” – also referred to as convalescent plasma – provides “passive immunity” until the patient’s system starts generating its own antibodies.

When an individual gets a disease, his body starts producing antibodies to face down the new enemy. In the respiratory illness, COVID-19, a former patient keeps a high level of antibodies three weeks after the recovery. Kuwait Police arrested six expats

The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry told the media that Kuwait Police arrested six expats who caused riots. Ministry will take legal measures against them, and deport them out of the country.

On Wednesday, the spokesperson of the ministry said in a statement. They received a complaint from a representative of a personal company. Rep stated that a gaggle of workers gathered. He was delivering their salaries when the assaulted him.

Action by Kuwait Police

When rescue patrol immediately moved to the situation of the incident. Upon its arrival, one among the company’s workers assaulted the cruiser. As a result the patrol commander fired a precautionary caliber within the air to disperse the gathering.

The ministry stressed that they have carried out an investigation. They will find the rest of the involved workers. Authorities will seize the guilty workers and will treat them as per law. Kuwait Police is investigating arrested expats for getting further information.

My View on the News

Kuwait police are the most efficient police among the police of all the Gulf countries. They do not forgive the culprit. On the other hand, they are very polite to every responsible person. Sponsor abusing workers will face legal action

Kuwait government decided on Monday to extend a holiday. The holidays were supposed to end this week until April 23. as part of the country’s efforts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). While taking legal action against sponsor abusing workers. The government decided to extend the holiday until April 23 and work will resume on Sunday, April 26. Spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem told an online news conference. Following a cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Mezrem said the cabinet assigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh. They will form a team tasked with taking legal actions against sponsors who have a fake workforce. As well as taking appropriate measures to prevent sponsor abusing workers.

Meanwhile, a cabinet statement said it assigned the ministerial economic committee. An executive committee to meet with the National Assembly’s office to discuss the public debt draft law. This is due to a huge change in domestic and external spending due to the coronavirus. The cabinet also approved a Ministry of Health’s (MoH) request to recruit specialized medical teams. Selection will be from abroad to provide support for front-line workers. It also assigned relevant authorities to extend contracts of workers in services, maintenance, cleaning and operations.
