Mobile App Civil ID by Kuwait PACI

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has prepared a mobile app for civil ID. Now every citizen and resident of Kuwait will have a virtual civil ID in his smartphone`. Hence, if you are in Kuwait, then your mobile phone is your virtual civil ID.

Before 14 April, the app was available in the Google play store. But access was not available. Then on 14 April, an update is released by PACI and App is ready for use.

The mobile ID is your virtual Civil ID held securely on the mobile phone

You can use it for identity proof, access to different e-service, and digital sign documents and transactions.

Pre-requisites for Mobile App Civil ID

Following are the requisites for Mobile App Civil ID:

  • You need to be a citizen or resident of the state of Kuwait.
  • should have previously issued a smart Civil ID.
  • Must be holding a valid smart Civil ID with a minimum validity of one month to enable the digital signing services (Optional).

Channels to Obtain Mobile App Civil ID

To obtain Mobile ID, following channels are available:

  • Perform Remote Enrollment from home
  • Go to nearest PACI Mobile ID Kiosk
  • Visit nearest PACI service center

On the last page two options are available for enrollment, that are:

Registration using Smartphone

Register using Self-Service kiosk or Visiting PACI

Registration using Smartphone

If you click the first option, then following information will be asked:

Civil Number

Card Serial No.

Mobile Number

For verification code. Service fees (50 Fils) will apply.

Passport No (for Non-Kuwaitis)

I hereby conformed that I am the owner of the above civil ID data.

After entering all the information carefully, you have to press the next button. You will be directed to take your selfie and a short video. Then after mobile number verification, your application for Mobile ID will be processed.

If you click the second option, then you will get a verification code to be used in the further process.

MoH Kuwait announced 50 new cases

MoH Kuwait announced on Wednesday 50 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection cases. There are still three fatalities so far. Hence, the total number of coronavirus cases reaches 1,405 and deaths are still three. There is no increase in deaths but the number of ICU cases are increased from 26 to 31.

In today’s daily briefing session, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, spokesperson of MoH Kuwait told the media about 50 new cases in the last 24 hours. Patients under treatment in the intensive care unit are 31, of which some are in critical condition, whereas other cases in ICU are stable.

Total coronavirus cases, receiving treatment at hospitals in Kuwait, are now 1,196 patients, said the spokesperson. Earlier, this morning, the ministry announced the recovery of 30 more patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 206.

If we observe today’s numbers, then we can say that situation is improving. We have fewer new cases today and more patients have recovered in the last 24-hours. However, active cases are still in large numbers and are still increasing.

We can hope the best for the coming time and can expect that from today the number of daily new cases should start decreasing and we will have zero new cases soon in the coming days. What’s your opinion? Please comment.

MoH Kuwait announced 55 new cases

MoH Kuwait announced on Tuesday about 55 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection cases. There is also news of one fatality in the last 24 hours. As a result, the total number of coronavirus cases reaches 1,355 and deaths to three.

In the daily briefing session, held today, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, spokesperson of MoH Kuwait announced 55 new cases are reported in the last 24 hours. 26 patients are under treatment in intensive care of which nine are in critical condition. Whereas 17 cases in ICU are stable.

He told the media about the death cases that reached three. The last death was of a Kuwaiti female (79 years) in the last 24 hours. She was also under treatment in the intensive care unit.

Total coronavirus cases, receiving treatment at hospitals in Kuwait, have now reached 1,176 patients said the spokesperson. In the last 24-hours 146 individuals have completed quarantine. Earlier, this morning, the ministry announced the recovery of 26 new patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 176.

If we observe today’s numbers, then we can say that situation is improving. We have fewer new cases today and more patients have recovered in the last 24-hours. However, total number of active cases is still increasing.

Bishop Camillo Ballin Passes Away

Today, I heard the sad news of the death of Bishop Camillo Ballin at the age of 76 in Rome. Bishop Ballin was born on 24 June, 1944 in Fontana, Italy. Lucia and Angelo Ballin were his parents. He made his first religious profession in 1965 as Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus, after that joined his perpetual profession on September 9, 1968. He became Priest of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus in 1969 at Castelletto Sul Garda Verona.

Appointments Before 2000 AD

Following his ordination, Bishop Camillo Ballin learned Arabic in Lebanon and Syria. Whereas. he started his priestly apostolate in the Latin parish of St. Joseph, Zamalek, Cairo in 1971. He remained Parish Priest from 1972 to 1977 then he went to Lebanon and Rome for his Licentiate in Oriental liturgy, from 1977 to 1980.

After that, he became a professor at the Institute of Theology in Cairo and Delegation Superior and Provincial Superior of his religious congregation in Egypt. In 1990, he opened a Training Institute for the Formation of Religion Teachers in Schools in Sudan and live there till 1997.

He got his doctorate degree (1997-2000) in the subject of Church history of Sudan especially in the Mahdiyyah time (1881-1898 – during that period, the practice of any other religion, except the Mahdist Islam, was strictly forbidden) His research was on how Christians and Jews lived in those years of persecution.

He wrote two well know books in Arabic, in 2004, that is “The Ways of the Spirit” and “History of the Church”. Finally, He was appointed Monsignor Ballin as (Fourth) Vicar Apostolic of Kuwait on 14 July, 2005 by Pope Benedict XVI and assigned to him the Titular See of Arna. On 2 August, 2005, he joined the Vicariate.

Bishop Camillo Ballin became the first Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia. Northern Arabia constitutes the territories of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Speech at 50 Years Service to God

Speaking on marking the 50th anniversary of his ordination, Bishop Ballin expressed his gratitude to the Almighty, “It is because of the mercy of God I can celebrate 50 years of service to God. Throughout my life, I have tried to follow God, to be a messenger of the love of God, and to oversee the ministry according to his will.

I have dedicated my life to making others happy. Through this journey, I have learned many things. There are many different kinds of people; the good, bad and weak. You have to encourage and support them. You have to be the sign of the love of God for all, said the bishop.

MoCI Kuwait Online Shopping Appointment Website

Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Kuwait Online Shopping appointment website has been launched. The service is in its trial stage to enable everyone to book appointments to shop at coops in their area. The shopping will be done at specific dates and times. The web page allows shopping from slaughterhouses, fish markets, cooperative societies, catering branches, and central markets.

In the trial stage, the web page is available to the public to view the system and test the various features. After taking feedback from the public, the official launch of the system is expected within a few days.

How to Use MoCI Kuwait Online Shopping Web Site

To use the web page for shopping, the customer has to visit the website of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The web address of the web page is available HERE.

Procedure to get Appointment

At the startup screen, customer has to enter the following information:

  • Civil ID number.
  • A serial number of Civil ID (written at the backside of Civil ID, exactly in the center).
  • Cell number and
  • Email address

After writing the Civil ID number and serial number, the name and region of the customer automatically appear on the screen. After that customer will select the shopping interface. In case the exact address of the customer is not available on Civil ID then the pop-up screen with “Excuse me” message will appear. Customer will enter an automatic Building number (رقم المبنی) after selecting the shopping place. The automatic building number (رقم المبنی) is available beside the main entrance of every flat or house. Just go to the main entrance of your residence, you will find that 8 digits number.

Reason for Creating the Web Page

The few reasons for creating the online shopping web page are:
