Baghdad: Dozens of supporters of tough Iraqi cleric Moqtada Sadr on Monday stormed the Republican Palace, a ceremonial development within Baghdad’s fortified Inexperienced Zone of presidency constructions, a safety supply stated.
Offended protesters “entered the Republican Palace” in a while after Sadr stated he used to be quitting politics, the supply stated, with a number of thousand different Sadr loyalists heading against the Inexperienced Zone, an AFP journalist reported.
The military has introduced a Baghdad-wide curfew to begin from 3:30 pm (1230 GMT).
