Kuwaitis Khaled Nasrallah and Mona Al-Shammari are amongst 16 nominated authors for the World Prize for Arabic Fiction 2022 for his or her novels ‘The White Line of Evening’ and ‘The Maids of the Shrine’. Each and every shortlisted nominee will obtain $10,000, and the winner will obtain an extra $50,000. All of the novels decided on for the 2022 longlist had been printed in Arabic between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
