BAGHDAD: Iraq’s robust Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr mentioned Monday he’s quitting politics, after a nearly-year lengthy political stalemate that has left the rustic with no new govt.

“I’ve made up our minds to not meddle in political beliefs. I subsequently announce now my definitive retirement,” mentioned Sadr, an established participant within the war-torn state’s political scene.
